Sebiji terung bulat boleh dimasak pelbagai menu. Last week, dah selamat buat grilled egg plant. So I cooked masak lemak cili api terung with ikan masin yesterday. Walaupun aku guna ikan masin yang kurang sesuai, tapi bantai je la....
So, tinggal lagi separuh terung tu. Nanti nak masak apa pulak ya..kena juga habiskan cepat sebelum ia bertukar warna dan rupa hehehe.
Masak lemak ini, sangatlah sepadan dengan pasangannya which is masak kicap black fish.
Macam besar je ekor ikan ni, padahal kecik je. Mungkin pasal letak dalam piring and crop this photo. Rajin sangatkah atau selera makan besar teringin makan macam-macam. Ikan dua ketul pun boleh masak dua jenis, seketul masak ikan 3 rasa for saturday dan lagi seketul for this masak kicap. The combination of masak lomak cili api together with masak kicap ikan, gara-gara terliur melihat menu mamarazi kak lia lah. Nampaknya mode rajin kaklia masih wujud. Baru je berbalas sms dengan kaklia yang sedang sibuk memasak tuh. Aku pi mengacau pulak, sorry ek kaklia....
But, kalau setakat masak dua lauk tu considered masak banyak ke? Musykil jugak aku, bila my housemate cakap aku masak banyak. Lainlah kalau aku masak lebih dari tiga lauk. Kalau nak kata aku masak dalam big portion tak juga sebab ikan tu seketul saja, terung tu pulak lebih kurang 1o keping potongan kecil saja. In fact, kuah tu kalau banyak lebih, boleh tambah lagi terung atau benda lain. Whatever...., yang penting aku tak membazir duit, masa dan tenaga. Nak kata aku buang masa, tidak jugak sebab masa untuk prepare bahan-bahan dan masak termasuklah mengemas dapur, membasuh dan mengelap apa yang patut, tak sampai pun 45 minit. Apalah sangat tenaga yang dicurahkan setakat nak masak lauk simple begini, yang penting aku rasa seronok semasa memasak dan juga merasa puas bila melihat hidangan di atas meja :) dan semestinya sewaktu makan lah hehehe...
Semalam, beria-ia aku type things to do kan. Sesudahnya plan no.4 tak buat pun. Yalah, dah pukul 10.30 malam baru nak buat plan no.2 and 3. Tidur pukul 1 am la. Whatever it is rasa tenang sangat bila tengok baju dah berlipat dan bilik dah bersih...cuma bab kemas kertas yang berselerak atas dan bawah meja tu payoh sikit ;)..
For today, still proceed with no.2 and no.3..code pun ada silap. Sebab tulah bila compare tedious and simple method, I didn't get the same result. Serabutlah....at last at 5pm baru turun to cook this kacang goreng kicap with suhun and reheat the masak lemak ikan masin, leftover from yesterday. I found this recipe at Mama Hawa blog. TQVM Hawa for sharing the recipe for this simple and yummy dish :). However I didn't put potato, faham2 sajalah ya..malas la...
Tonight, I started my iftar with dates and a slice of kiwi fruit.

Masak terung ikan asin is really nice kampung style cooking. You can also try it with pinneaple or long beans..
Aiyoo..just remind me about ikan cencaru sumbat sambal...hmm..mackerel sumbat sambal also sound nice. I should try cookinng this dish.

fairy, akak ko ni kan pro, sambil kacau kuah lemak sambil sms tu tak de hal lah...kehkehkeh....kawan akak pun salu ckp akak masak banyak, kalau takat 2 jenis lauk tu banyak apa nya ek...lain lah masak 5 jenis lauk kan...betul tu fairy, yg penting lepas masak kita puas hati dan happy sepanjang hari....:)
